Many people have questioned Cardi B’s race. Especially after her very vague answers previously, as well as always claiming to be “hispanic”. Yes by now we know that hispanic is not a race. But does Cardi B?

Here’s what we know.
Cardi B’s father is Dominican, whilst her mother is Trinidadian.
None of these are races. Let’s get that straight. You could be a giraffe and be Trinidadian or Dominican.
Cardi B speaks fluent spanish. Again not a race. Spanish is a language.
Cardi B has stated many times, that she is hispanic. Hispanic is a culture not a race.

Here’s What Cardi B Has To Say About Her Race
Over on her Twitter account, the rapper with Trinidadian and Dominican roots tweeted, “Let me do this sh*t again.”
She tweeted images of her maternal grandmother, aunts, her brother, and her uncle. There was also a photo featuring her mother.
She also stated recently that “I never said I was full Black, I always said I was half”.
So I’ll let y’all be the judge. What race is Cardi B? Is she Black? Is Cardi B mixed race, biracial or is Cardi B a genetic throwback. A product of atavism? This video here will explain what atavism is.
So what are your thoughts?
In Trinidad we would consider Cardi B’s mother mixed. Since we’re not sure of what she’s mixed with we’d call her a Spanish mix. But looking at the different pics she does have African in her. So in Trinidad Cardi B would be considered mixed too. And because they are light skinned she and her mother would be considered mixed “reds”.
This illiterate and let’s be honest, quite stupid trash bag is NOT black or even half. She is mixed with a variety of things, which includes African DNA. If this genius thinks she could be half black, than her mom would need to be a full black woman. Which she undeniably isn’t. Like a lot of us, we have other components to our DNA. Just because we have a small amount of European DNA does not mean we can claim ourselves as white. The one drop rule needs to be put in the trash along with her bottom shelf bars.
Cardi definitely not Black. Her dad is mainly European with some African and her mom “mixed” I believe Indo-Tridadian with some African. Yup, I always thought Shemar Moore’s mom was light-skinned too!
She’s clearly mixed. She isn’t even half black because both of her parents are mixed.
This is the reality of black hispanics, most of us are mixed with indigenous or white people or both. I myself am mixed, I look mainly black but I’m light skin. Both of my parents are mixed which means I’m mixed. The only person in my family that looked fully black was my maternal grandfather, and he was probably mixed with something because his hair was straight.
Of course, there are still some fully black communities in my country, Colombia, but they are slowly starting to mix with non blacks, mainly blanco mestizos.
She is raceless. When you are so mixed up you do not fit into any forensic race. You are raceless in my opinion
Cardi B is multiracial. She is a mixed race Caribbean woman. Cardi B’s father is mestizo and her mother is mixed race. Cardi B is 30%-40% African. For her to be half black her mother would have to be a fully black woman. Cardi B isn’t black and anyone that calls her black is an idiot.
