Well now, first of all, Angel is light years away from ugly. I am a visual woman with a preference for men with handsome (visually appealing) faces. I’ve always appreciated the spectrum of colors Black men come in.
In my twenties I had a close male friend: Kind, intelligent, tall, nice body, dressed well, and very humorous. But…..I was not attracted to his face. I did not marry him because I had to think about the children I would have one day.
Preferences for complexion vary depending upon what a woman likes. You’ll find there are just as many Black women who like dark skin Black men as there are who like light skin Black men. Much Love

I’m a brown to dark brown skinned woman that’s always been attracted to lighter skinned men. I like dark skinned men too, but the light brown caramel brothers catch my eye. I just hope there are more black men, either complexion, that will step up, defend and protect black women. I love you Angel!

Yes, I love dark-skinned Black men (I am light-skinned) BUT in no way that does not mean I wouldn’t date light-skinned Black men. I just like dark skin as dark as South Sudanese people. Actually, my ex-boyfriends both were light (one was biracial) and great guys! I am married now to an African man. My mom is light and my dad is dark maybe that is why. I always love to see dark-skinned black women with light-skinned black men.
As long as he’s a good black man I don’t care about his complexion, they’re all equal to me.

👉🏾Dark skin Black men do not go for Black American women. Disturbingly these dark men have become hateful against all Black women. Including their own mothers‼️
👉🏾Yet these dark brothers are supported and protected by Black women when they are shot dead and abused by white law enforcement.
🙋🏾♀️🙋🏿♀️Black American women oftentimes get more hatred, racism, misogyny and colorism from dark skin Black men than outsiders‼️
This video is so interesting! Growing up, the dark shinned guys I liked always wanted light skinned women but they always wanted light skinned men. To this day, light skinned men approach me more than dark skinned ones and I’m still surprised by it, stupid as that seems.
It’s only whilst watching this video that I even thought about it in that way – and it never occurred to me how guys (regardless of shade) viewed it! Very interesting! ✊🏾
the fact that nobody hits on you has nothing to do with your light skin…. more that you seem to be a serious guy with a serious black woman and your audience have some boundaries.
I’ve always loved Black men of all shades, nationalities, cultures and ethnicities. As long as you are intelligent, culturally aware, emotionally balanced, strong-willed and driven, nurturing, affectionate and adoring, and you are passionate about #BlackLove and #BlackUnity, its a WRAP.
It just so happens that the Black man I married, who has all these qualities, is a dark chocolate man, so, yeah, lol.
You see it’s funny because the only black women Ik that were into dark skin brothers the most were light skinned black women. I feel like commonly when you ask a light skinned women “who do you like more darkskins or lightskins” they always say this common answer “darkskins because lightskins always be in they feelings” LMFAO! But to be honest I hardly hear that answer from dark skinned women. I personally prefer black women all shades no matter the skin complexion all shades of black is beautiful but I feel like this is one of my reasons why I feel like I got it better with dark skin chicks because sometimes I feel like I got 0 shot with light skin women, if that makes sense :/
