How do we decipher between originality and plagiarism? The answer is innovation and creativity. Like Angel said, there’s nothing new under the sun but me. In school they taught us to paraphrase and cite sources. What happens if the source is life experience and a culmination of everything you’ve ever heard, read, or saw. However, we do wanna make sure that our perspective is in fact our own and we’re not just regurgitating information we picked up somewhere but don’t really agree with, just because it sounds good. Shakespeare said that every fool in error has a passage of scripture to back them up. Can the same be true about fools who use Angel and other blacks as sources of information to back them up? I think so. The bright side is at least there’s no error in the message, just the morals of the becky “messenger”.
