As natural born American citizens, learning a second language isn't on everyone's list of things to accomplish in life. However, the more growth and progress that we have in this country, the more we realize that the "melting pot" is becoming more of a reality than we may want to believe. We have people from all over the globe not only embracing our way of life, but also imparting their own. This includes their language.
Based on a US Census in 2016, Spanish has the highest number of non-English speakers followed by Chinese.
Spanish is the second most spoken language in the US after English, and is in second place worldwide according to Mondly.com
So what does this mean to you?
This actually affects many English only speakers educationally, socially, and financially; but that can be remedied.
Although most would like to, many individuals may not have the adequate time or money to actually go to college or a university to study Spanish.
Meanwhile within the African American community, a large handful will not take time to learn another language. This can greatly boost the dollar circulation, and solidify a more fortified bridge between the African American and Latino communities (at minimum those who identify as Afro-Latinos within the Latino community).
This is where Jay steps in.
Studying since 2007, His goal is to influence, educate, and encourage non-Spanish speakers to learn a second language.
No matter the age, he wholeheartedly believes that with time, desire and discipline many can learn to communicate in Spanish.
