Tech Nerd joke aside, you are so right brother Angel. And it’s amazing that people refuse to isolate their own biases as the variable. For me, when I was in my early 20s and recently separated from my ex, I wanted a Morris Chestnut type, thinking that it was the aesthetic that would save my heart from loneliness. This of course, led me to attracting shallow, selfish and narcissistic men. Not because of how they looked, but because I hadn’t healed those skin deep wounds, so I wanted the POLAR opposite of my ex (slender and fair skinned) at the SURFACE and not at the BEHAVIORAL level.
But alas! You live and you learn 🥰
